02 About

Of the brothers.

Fratrum takes its name from the Latin frāter, brother. Frātrum means “of the brothers”: a name for a company built on kinship rather than hierarchy. Our emblem, two figures climbing the Penrose stairs, says the rest. The climb is shared, and it never really ends.

We build, own and grow digital products for the long term. Each company runs with its own team and its own identity. Fratrum gives them capital, shared infrastructure and a standard to hold to.

  1. Own for the long term

We build companies to keep. Decisions are made on a horizon of decades, not quarters.

  2. Independent by design

Every company keeps its own name, team and focus. The group exists to support them, never to dilute them.

  3. Craft in the details

How a thing is made matters as much as what it does. Quality is the strategy.
